Coach Mike's Legacy Lives On
In 2023, Cincinnati Golden Gloves and the worldwide boxing community lost a legendary coach and mentor. In his over 30 years with the program, he had an impact on thousands of athletes that was truly beyond measure.
Under Coach Mike, Cincinnati Golden Gloves sent local boxers to the Olympics nine times, including Rau’shee Warren, the first three-time Olympian in US boxing history, and Duke Ragan, who earned a Silver Medal in Tokyo (2020).
He guided his athletes from youth to adolescence to adulthood. Cincinnati Golden Gloves wouldn’t be where it is today without him. His legacy will live on forever.
